"The Race Is On" are the words an MS research doctor used to describe his view of MS research and finding a cure for multiple sclerosis. 15 years, 10 years, 5 years, but definitely in our lifetime. We have come a long way in research and have raised a lot of money over the years for MS research and programming, but we still have a ways to go. Research into finding a cure takes money, a lot of money, and the National MS Society is the organization that does the heavy lifting. I ask everyone to support the efforts of the National MS Society and register this year for the MS WALK . It does not matter what your contribution is, every cent counts. Registering is easy, here's how.

You can live anywhere in the world and sign up for our South Cook MS Self-Help Group Team, thanks to the Internet. Just email Yolanda Treiguts - with your name, address, phone number, T-shirt size, pledge amount and birth date. All information is held in strict confidence and used solely for the purpose of sending you incentive prizes. You can find the prize list at www.msillinois.org. It is really simple to be a virtual walker for our team, anywhere you may live. Why join our team? Because:
  • we are folks who have MS and want a cure; and
  • we, people with MS in a self-help group, are doing the ultimate self-help mission - finding a cure for MS - by the people who have MS and also with the help of families and friends who love us. So, please join our noble cause and we will lick MS together.

Please register South Cook MS Self-Help Group Team, Yolanda Treiguts, Team Captain. You can register by e-mail Yolanda Treiguts -it is that easy.

Everyone will still receive individual prizes and recognition. If you have already registered, you can change your registration to the South Cook MS Self-Help Group Team, Yolanda Treiguts, Team Captain.

You can also register with our local MS chapter by calling 312-421-4500, online or at www.msillinois.org
