"My name is Yolanda Treiguts and I am the team captain of the South Suburb’s Walk MS team South Cook MS Self-Help Group, which boasts the largest Walk MS team and largest support group with 148 members. We are also the number one fundraising team with a current total of over $69,000!

"I was diagnosed with MS in February 1979, and I have been involved with the support group since 1983. Our team has been walking for over 25 years and started with the bike/hike event. I believe Walk MS is a source of empowerment and camaraderie, and watching people complete the walk with their scooters and mobility devices, united, gives me goose bumps.

"I will walk until this disease is eliminated from the face of the earth, so that no one will ever hear that they are diagnosed with MS. I will walk until this disease is eliminated. I walk for a cure."
